Part 2: Body of the Hat

Part 3: Stem, Vine & Leaf

Hello and Welcome to all friends of Collective Crochet Together! I am so excited to be featuring a crochet-a-long pattern in this wonderful community. Halloween has come to have a special place in my heart since having becoming a mommy. Every year I crochet my children’s costumes, it has become one of my favorite projects and my love of Halloween has definitely grown. I designed my pumpkin hat freehand a few years ago, making them for my kids and several others. This year their hats were getting too small so I thought it would be the perfect time to write out the pattern to share with you.

Today, I bring you the supply list, along with sizing and gauge information. So you can get started making your gauge swatch!  I used Caron United in Orange and Tent Sale Worsted in Eucalyptus but you are welcome to use any medium worsted weight yarn in any colours you choose.

If you would like the complete pattern now, you can purchase a convenient PDF download in my Ravelry and Etsy shops, your support is always appreciated.

Measurements & Sizes

Sizing is according to standard sizing, age references are a guideline. It is best to use the actual measurement of the head for the most accurate fit. The pattern is written for the smallest size with additional sizes as follows in parenthesis. 3-6m (6m-1 yr, 2-5yrs, 6-10yrs, Teen, Adult)

3-6 Months 15″-16″ (38cm – 42cm)
